Magenta Edge is an initiative helping small businesses get ahead. Using a growing library of original content, we're helping American small business owners learn and execute through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. Magenta Edge has a foundational focus on Black-Owned small businesses, which have been disproportionately impacted by COVID while offering educational programming, original stories, and insights for all entrepreneurs.

The work took many forms. From a central website that hosted all our content to banners, social posts, and partnerships with publishers like Forbes, Black Enterprise, and Black Entrepreneur.

The results were incredible with 50% more participation than initially forecasted, 95% of participants being non-t-mobile customers, 15% Facebook engagement (Significantly higher than 1.75% expected baseline), and over 30M organic reach.

This was by far one of the strongest programs the brand has ever created and from an agency production perspective, one of the best and most successful inter-departmental collaboration projects I have ever been a part of. A real example of how the Ad Agencies of the future should be working.

WELCOME TO THE ERA OF 5G

5G technology is capable of much more than simply speeding up your phone. Recently, our team was assigned the task of creating B2B films to educate businesses on the power of 5G and how this quick, responsive, and intelligent technology can help them operate more efficiently, intelligently, and profitably.

However, we were faced with a problem: filming 10 locations in just 3 days seemed impossible.

Fortunately, we were able to partner with Alkemy-X, an incredible production company that helped us devise a cutting-edge solution to overcome this hurdle: an XR stage. This was the perfect way to showcase the latest technology in communication by utilizing the latest technology in film production.

The project was a tremendous success and has received numerous accolades in both the advertising and film production industries. It's definitely one for the record books!

The brief was simple: Tell consumers that Shell Rotella with advanced synthetic technology protects the engine against engine wear.

The challenge was how to make that message fun. Our team rolled up our sleeves and thought “Well if the engine is protected, that means it lives longer between oil changes, which means you can focus on other things that are more important, like sightseeing, family time, work, etc…” - from there, the scripts kept coming, and coming, and coming… what you see here is what we were allowed to produce in the end.

During the height of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Pennzoil (like every other brand in the world) wanted to make sure they had an honest message out. What they didn’t want was another eery story with somber music playing and showing empty streets looking video. So we created a simple reminder that we all love the open road, but in order to get through the lockdown, we should all stay home. The video was all done in-house and produced 100% remotely and done in a week and a half with an incredibly small crew and amazing and supportive clients.

Nascar driver Joey Logano is known for winning the Pennzoil 400 race in Las Vegas. So we created a series to invite people to watch the come watch race and see if would win it two times in a row.

The series was meant to highlight how Joey is really bad at everything in Vegas (Casinos, Shows, Magic, etc) but he is great at racing. This is one of the videos we were able to produce.

Let’s Get Checked is an at-home testing brand with a mission to enable everyone to have better knowledge about their health so they can live happier, healthier lives.

While every brand out there was starting to look and sound the same during the COVID-19 pandemic, we introduced a brand with a modern aesthetic, combined with humanity and emotion and ready to take action.

All in all, we developed a :30 & :15 TV spot along with over 200 social assets (still and video) to drive awareness and conversion.

Did you know that YouTube is more than Cat Videos? Well, now you know. What started as simple concept development and prototyping developed into a 2-year project working with really smart people. To promote YouTube's best performing channels, the team created 14 fully integrated campaigns in the USA and UK.
Shortly after, the campaign went global. 

Best part about it? My favorite spots aired in the MadMen Series Finale. Talk about full circle...

The summer before your college kid departs is full of ups and downs, many of which are actually meant to make your kid’s departure a bit easier on both of you. 

Basically, there is plenty of arguing, and plenty of scenarios where it’s clear this kid doesn’t “fit” in the household anymore and it’s time to move on and OUT. 

The campaign consisted of 2x 30 second videos, 2x 6 second videos, 5 Memes, Pinterest and Instagram assets, with the primary objective to drive sign-ups to Beyond+ program and a secondary objective to drive awareness/engagement of Bed Bath’s Campus Ready program with parents of college-age consumers and college-aged consumers themselves as well as own “dorm life” conversations across relevant social networks.

YouTube Kids is an app designed to help kids safely explore the world of YouTube.

To launch the app, our concept was simple: have real kids make up stories, then illustrate those stories with content found in the app.

The result was a whole day of smiling and a whole lot of stories. The campaign was launched in Video, Print and Digital advertising formats.

Two Worlds, One Macallan. A 360º journey through the Two Worlds that make up the newest expression, The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old. The Film was released at an event in upstate NY and generated 200+ shares across social, 1.2 million impressions, and 27K+ engagements. The launch’s 50+ media stories, including features in The Wall Street Journal and CNBC, generated more than 200MM earned impressions.

Little is big. In other words, don’t underestimate the power of little. Because there’s a little happy in every piece of Trident. This was a fully integrated campaign where we set out to produce a set of happy videos and a website that hosted tons of happy surprises to help you boost your mood. Not bad for a piece of gum.

Alton Lane is a premium tailored apparel store that lets users design custom suits, blazers, tuxedos and shirts and get a personalized fit from their 3D body scanning technology. 

I worked closely with their Marketing team to redesign their website and bring their web presence from a dark and outdated look and feel to a much more contemporary look. 

Plus, i got fitted for some amazing clothes.

Back in 2012, Verizon had a series of Smartphones that did a lot more than the iPhone did, so our team created a series of modular WebVideos to showcase all that Droid Does. These are just a few.

It's not every day you get an email from Lucas Films with a sound bed of R2D2 Sounds and Anthony Daniels recorded voice and are told to play. As a Star Wars fan, it doesn't get any better than that. 

This was a Web-Wide scavenger hunt to promote the launch of a Verizon special edition phone. Users would begin the hunt on the site, travel through the web to find clues and finish here. First ones to enter the codes would win.

Passavant and Lee is a luxury men's accessories brand combining beautiful raw materials and innovative design with classic British and American style.
